Brian Camarillo finishes 2nd in the Main Event

Brian had a great Saturday night. He started the night off by winning his heat race in a dominating fashion. He went on to start on the front row of the main event and lead for 20+ laps before getting into lapped traffic. Greg Taylor passed Brian with about 5 laps to go. It was a great night for the Agromin Racing team.

Brian Camarillo drives the wheels off his 22c car at Ventura Raceway. He started front row outside his brother Brent Camarillo in the second heat and wins with no challengers. It landed him a great starting spot in the main event. Starting 2nd row inside Brian drove a perfect race. He was the car to beat. Congratulations Brian on a job well done.

Brian Camarillo has landed a ride with the Cruz Pedregon Racing, car #175, for the 22nd Annual Chilibowl. He will be racing on Tuesday night. Brent Camarillo will be driving the Agromin Racing team midget #51c. He also will be racing on Tuesday night. I will keep you posted on their results.

Brian finishes 2nd in the 2007 Wags Dash

With a freshly watered track, Brian managed to stay close to the leaders in the 2007 Wags Dash Main Event. After several yellows, Brian, Blake Miller and Dennis Rodriquez were dueling for the lead. The track finally came in for Brian, but one lap to late Blake Miller got around Brian on the outside and the rest is history. Great finish for Brian.

Brian finishes 9th in Saturday's Main Event

Brian had to borrow his brother's 410 for Saturday Nights race, he made his brother and family proud as he raced Brent's 410 to 9th in the Main Event. It was a fast race and Brian was no stranger to full throttle, he ran the car for 30 laps on the top flawlessly. Congrats!

Brent Qualifies 10th out of 40 Cars

Brent qualified 10th Saturday night and was not given his starting position because of his rookie status. However, he started in heat #1 in the back of a 9 car field and by the 2nd lap he was in third. Unfortunetly, Troy Rutherford decided to push Brent out of the grove for third place and Brent ended up finishing 6th. Not a bad job for a rookie and a 360 in a 410 race. Brent also had to start at the back of a 19 car semi and finished 12th. Good Job Brent!

Great Finish for Brian & Brent

Brian and Brent both made the USAC/CRA Main Event Saturday Night at Perris Auto Speedway. They both had to transfer via the semi-main event. Brian started 9th in the semi and drove to 4th like a pro. Brent started in the back of a 14 car semi and drove to 6th to transfer in his VRA 360 Sprint Car. Both boys put on a great show as the raced each other to finish 16th for Brian and 18th for Brent. Great Job!!!

Brent Camarillo was on the gas Saturday night. He had to start in the back of the heat race and finished 4th to transfer to the main event. He started the main in 14th and ran a great race. He highest position was about 9th with 5 laps to go and spun and finished 17th. Good job Brent!!!

Brian Camarillo qualifies 16th

Brian has one of his best qualifying times yet. He qualified 16th out of 29 cars at Perris Auto Speedway this past weekend. Starting in the second row of the heat race and finishing 5th. He started the semi-main and had mechanical problems; no brakes. He is looking forward to Santa Maria this weekend.

Brian has had a rough start this year. With 11 USAC/CRA races in this year we have yet to make a main event. Brian has had a couple of great runs and some incredible crashes at Manzanita and Perris Auto Speedway. We are hoping this will be our weekend to shine.

Brent has had a great start to new year. With only 8 races under his belt, he has managed to make 3 main events. Brent is on the gas and looks to be a natural at this sport.

Riley came in 2nd in his heat race and started 2nd row out side in the main, at the wave of the green flag, Riley tried to avoid a wreck and bent his rear axel.They did a restart and Riley had to start in the back. Wtih the bent axel the next twelve laps were pretty bumpy. Riley managed to pull off a strong second place finish. Great job Riley!!!

Brian Camarillo pulled off an impressive night for the Agromin Racing Team. He started out the night in the back of the pack of a 9 car Focus Midget race and finished 3rd. He then went on to finish 3rd in his Sprint car heat race to transfer him directly to the main event. Brian Camarillo earned his status as a Rookie Contender Saturday night. He won his heat race in the Ford Focus Midget and went on to finish 5th in the Main Event.

Brian also ran hard in the VRA Sprints and managed to earn status as a Rookie Contender in that series as well. He hopes to make a Main Event soon.

Big surprise for little Eddie Vasquez. Eddie "the Wild Thing" Vasquez had no idea he was getting a race car and going racing on Saturday. Mom and Dad keep it a secret until race day. So for not ever having sat in a race car, Eddie was a quick learner. By the time he got to the main event he was on the gas. As soon as we get him to turn every lap, he is going to be tough to beat.

Tanner " The Taz" Kershaw finishes 2nd on 1st Night Out

Tanner "the Taz" Kershaw was sitting in the cat bird seat waiting for the leaders to make a mistake; and they did. The Taz was in a comfortable 4th position as he watched 2nd and 3rd battle for position. Once they took each other out, Tanner was on the move to catch his team mate Riley Helland.
Now, until we see the video replay, we can only speculate that Tanner was the true winner of the first VRA Mini Dwarf A-Main Event. However, officially 2nd will have to do. We look forward to Tanner "the Taz" Kershaw winning some races this year.

Riley "the Rocket" Helland Almost Laps the Field

Unbelievable performance by Riley Helland last Saturday Night. Riley "the Rocket" almost lapped the entire field in the first VRA Mini Dwarf A-Main Event. From the start of the green flag Riley was on the gas. The Rocket had lapped all but his team mate Tanner Kershaw. Because of some lapped traffic Riley Helland's race was cut short ( See the Video Clip). The race was in the bag and he was sure to Win the first VRA Mini Dwarf A-Main Event.

Chris McArthur & Mark Chuhaloff make Saturday Debut

Chris McArthur shown sporting his new Agromin PowerMix colors for Camland Motorsports. Chris travels all the way from Scottsdale, AZ, where the Canadian native take residence, to race with the Camland team. We are glad to have Chris aboard. With a little better luck next time, Chris is a "shoe-in" to win a main event this year.

Mark Chuhaloff started the year out in his brand new 10c car and was about as fortunate as Chris in the main event. Both drivers were running in the top 5 and were taken out by other cars to end the night. Mark had a great car and was working his way to the front. We were excited to see two of our drivers battling up front. But, that's the way it goes. Better luck next time.

Rob Kershaw & Bill Camarillo Start in Ventura's 1st Main Event of 2006

After a long awaited first race of the 2006 season, Rob Kershaw had a fun packed night. Rob raced the #26 Ford Focus Midget to 5th in the Main Event. He also pulled double duty by running in his #26 VRA Sprint Car. With all the stress and hard work of helping his two sons (Cody and Dakota) start their racing debut, Rob managed to win his heat race and transfer to the main event. Unfortunately, Rob was not able to avoid the parked car of #15 Trimble and was taken out early in the race. We know he had a top 5 car and would have finished well.

Bill Camarillo, who did not intend to even run this year, found his way into the main event. After starting 8th in his heat race, Bill managed to finish 3rd which earned him a 10th starting position in the main event. With a lot of luck and patiences and a great car set up by Wayne Pardini, Bill managed to finish 6th in the main event. Our best opening night finish ever.

Brian Camarillo pulls double duty

Brian Camarillo in his first race of the 2006 season pulls double duty by racing in the 40c Ford Focus and the 22c VRA Sprint Car. I would have to say it was a successful night, since both cars rolled on the trailer in one piece. We are looking forward to Brian running for Rookie of the Year in both the sprint car and the Focus Midget. He will be getting some extra laps in this weekend a the PAS with the USAC/CRA boys. We are hoping he gets a chance to experience the awesomeness of Perris Auto Speedway.

Who Is Dakota Kershaw?

Let me tell you who is Dakota Kershaw - he is the first VRA Junior Ford Focus Main Event Winner!!! Dakota (left of his brother Cody) put on the most impressive first race a driver could. For never having raced a midget before or anything with four wheels - - you would have never known. He made mom and dad very proud. As for the rest of the Camland/Kershaw Motorsports gang, we are excited to have him aboard. We expect to see alot more from Dakota this year. Congratulation Dakota on such a fine performance.

Introducing Chris "the Critter" Noe

Chris "the Critter" is chomping at the bit to get racing. The Critter has spent his time riding ATVs and motorcycles, so racing should be a natural fit. Fortunately for him, he has the support of mom and dad who decided to give the Critter a shot at racing.

Chris Noe, the Critter's dad, has been a long time employee of Agromin. We are excited about him and little Chris joining us this year and look forward to watch the Critter develop into a great race car driver.

Welcome Racing Fans!!!

The 2006 racing season is finally here. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us this weekend and not rain. All of our cars are ready to go and we have an exciting line up. We are excited to have some new drivers to add to the Agromin Racing Team.

Brian Camarillo, 21 years old, will be driving in the VRA Sprint Car Series and the VRA Ford Focus Series. We are excited about him trying to become the Rookie of the Year in both Series.
Riley"the Rocket" Helland, 8 years old, will be driving in the Mini Dwarf Series. This is Riley's first attempt at racing and we can't wait because he is on the gas...
Robbie Helland, 23 years old, will be driving later this year a VRA Dwarf Car, it will be Robbie's first attempt at racing and he will be showing his little brother how it is done...
Chris "the Critter" Noe, 7 years old, will be driving in the VRA Mini Dwarf Car Series. He is another little guy that I know will be on the gas...

Also, joining us this year are the Kershaw Boys - Cody, Dakota and Tanner. I have watched these boys practice and they only know one speed and that is full throttle...
